2008 Democratic National Convention
August 25-28 in Denver, Colorado
2008 is going to be an extremely exciting year for Democrats in Georgia and across the country. Democrats will gather in Denver this August to select the Democratic Nominee for the President of the United States.
I strongly believe that we need to cultivate future leaders from the ground up. One of the many things that attracted me to Obama was his past. The way he was a community activist, then a state legistator then a Senator. He knows what it is like to come up through the ranks and work for the people without losing touch with the real world.

I am running for National Delegate in the 7th Congressional District. I am asking you to vote for me at the 7th Congressional District Convention on April 19th to allow me to be one of the 5 people representing all Democrats from the 7th Congressional District.
I have been a strong Barack Obama supporter since he made his official announcement in Feb. 2007.
I have set up tables at events, canvassed, done visibility and phone banked for Obama in Georgia, Iowa and Wisconsin. While working in Wisconsin this winter I was able to travel to Clayton County, Iowa a few times and canvas/phone bank for Obama. I also went to his HQ in Dubuque to gather information and contacts last October for fellow Obama supporters here in Georgia. I blogged about my early experience in Iowa here.

The 7th district will have 1 male and 2 female delegate positions for Barack Obama as well as 1 female alternate. Please support my friend SteffIni Bethea for the female delegate position on April 19th.
Since moving to Georgia I have been actively involved with the Gwinnett County Democratic Party, 7th Congressional District, Georgia Association of Democratic Committee Chairs and the Democratic Party of Georgia.
